Portfolio of Works
A pochade is a small study, or just a small painting, usually done in one painting session. They are a great place for "new collectors" to start purchasing works as they are the introductory price points for most artisits. Many people however appreciate the smaller paintings in their own right. In fact, some artists only paint in this size format which is typically smaller than 8 x 10. Designers, for example, might hang several together in a pattern which makes for great design.
